WEBINAR: Stocktake on BHR Policy Progress in East Africa with a Focus on Gender Inclusion

About the event

As we gear up for the 2024 Africa Business and Human Rights Forum in Nairobi and following up on the East Africa BHR Conference hosted in Kampala in 2023, please be invited to an online stocktake on BHR policy progress in East Africa.

During the short session, you will get the latest updates from Ethiopia, Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda focusing on pathways for adoption of National Action Plans on Business and Human Rights (NAP) and key insights and learning for quality implementation. During the stocktake, we will take a closer look at the most recent NAP developments in Ethiopia and Tanzania and zoom in onto the elements of gender inclusion. The session will offer a space for reflection on the status of the BHR policy progress in the region which can then be brought to the 2024 Africa Forum.

The session is hosted in collaboration between DanChurchAid and Danish Family Planning Association, and invites speakers from Resource Rights Africa, Danish Institute for Human Rights, Reproductive Health Network Kenya and Ms. Ruth Shah-Wigley.
