THE CONTINUATION
Series 1 held virtually 0n March 8-12, 2021, cataloged challenges series 2 aimed to ‘Move the deliberations from planning to action-oriented implementation through intentional commitments and stakeholders’ alliances – private sector, academia, labor, civil society organizations (CSOs), consumers, and the public sector.’ Series 2 is therefore deliberation on and planning for the solutions and workable activities to address the challenges that have been identified, with the view to a concluding Action Plan which will be implemented on the ground as follow up to Series 2.
APSS-Summit Series 3-Proposed Hybrid Summit in Kigali, November, 2022
Proposed Theme: Awakening Africa’s Sleeping Giants in the Implementation of Regional Economic Communities (RECs) and African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and Repositioning Stakeholders Strategy and Implementation action, in Rwanda, seeks to reposition stakeholders’ strategies and implementation actions which were developed in Series 2 in Accra, by reviewing progress of implementation so far and refashioning areas needing revision for onward continuing improved implementation after Series 3. Landmark launches of “the Bill of Rights for Enabling Business Environment in Africa” and the “Africa Education Trust Fund” and Fundraising Efforts to support APSS work going forward are also therefore envisaged, making Kigali a watershed moment for leapfrogging on continental projects and APSS activities.
